Power Only

Setup: The truck itself, without any trailer
Cab types: Day cab or sleeper cab
Load options: Load-out (trailer for 5–7 days) or tow-away (hook and tow)
Trailers: Any trailer, such as dry van, reefer, step deck or flatbed

Day cabs pick up loads in the morning and return home. Brokers may ask about trailer interchange insurance.

Doors: Swing door or roll-up
Weight limit: 45,000 lbs
Typical freight: Clothing, furniture, electronics, household goods
Accessories: Straps, E-tracks (vertical and horizontal), dunnage, dunnage bags

Requirement: 26–28 ft, and able to haul in all 48 states
Doors: Swing or roll-up
Weight limit: 10,000 lbs
Typical freight: Less-than-truckload: parcel delivery, furniture, food delivery, household goods, appliances
Accessories: Pallet jack and lift gate. Not required every time, but they add value

Maximum weight you can carry

For flatbed, step deck and box truck

Flatbed and step deck: straps, tarps, chains and binders, dunnage
Box truck: inside length, width and height, door clearance, door type
Box truck: straps, pallet jack and lift gate
